What Is Ubtan?


Ubtan is a traditional and natural skincare product originating in South Asia, particularly in India.


It is often used as a beauty treatment for the skin, especially before weddings and other special occasions.


Ubtan is a mixture of various powdered herbs, grains, and sometimes pulses, which are combined with water, milk, yoghurt, or rosewater to form a paste.


Ubtan is applied to the face and body, left to dry for a few minutes, and then gently rubbed off with water.


It is known for its ability to cleanse, exfoliate, and brighten the skin while providing various other skincare benefits.


It offers a holistic approach to skincare, leaving skin radiant and rejuvenated.

Ingredients For Ubtan


We'll use the magical benefits of gram flour and back it with the anti-oxidants of green tea and the distilled properties of rose water. Overall these three ingredients with do magic for your skin.


Besan (gram flour): 


  • Besan is an excellent natural exfoliator. It helps remove dead skin cells, dirt, and impurities from the skin's surface, leaving it smoother and more radiant.

  • It has oil-absorbing properties, making it useful for people with oily skin. This flour can help reduce excess oil production and control shine.

  • The antibacterial properties of besan can help prevent and treat acne. It can also reduce the appearance of acne scars over time.

  • Regular use of besan can help improve skin complexion and make it look brighter. Besan can also help reduce pigmentation and uneven skin tone.

  • It can be a natural cleanser to remove makeup and cleanse the skin without harsh chemicals.



Green Tea:

 

  • Green tea is rich in antioxidants, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which can help protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals.

  • This can slow down the ageing process and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

  • It has anti-inflammatory properties that can help soothe irritated skin and reduce redness.

  • It is often used to alleviate conditions like acne and rosacea. Green tea has antimicrobial properties that may help control acne-causing bacteria.

  • It can also regulate sebum (oil) production, making it useful for those with oily or acne-prone skin.

  • The polyphenols in green tea can help protect the skin from the harmful effects of UV radiation. While it should not replace sunscreen, it can offer additional protection when applied topically.


Rosewater: 


  • Rosewater is an excellent natural hydrator for the skin. It can help maintain the skin's moisture balance, making it suitable for dry skin.

  • This magical water has anti-inflammatory properties that help calm irritated or sensitive skin. It can be useful for conditions like rosacea or sunburn.

  • The antioxidants in rosewater can help combat free radicals and slow ageing, potentially reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

  • Rosewater's anti-inflammatory properties can help reduce redness and irritation associated with acne.


Preparation Of Ubtan


You can easily prepare the Ubtan by following these steps.


STEP 1:


Start by preparing a green tea decoction. (If you're using a green tea bag, boil water and dip the tea bag in it. If you have loose green tea leaves, boil the leaves with water and strain them in a cup.)


STEP 2:


Take 2-3 spoons of the decoction in a bowl and let it cool. (You can drink the remaining tea.)


STEP 3:


Now, add 2-3 spoonfuls of rosewater to the green tea decoction.


STEP 4:


Now, add Besan or gram flour into the mixture until you achieve a paste-like consistency.


STEP 5:


Thoroughly stir and mix all the ingredients until well combined, and your Ubtan is now ready to use!


Application Of Ubtan


For application, gently scoop a small amount of the Ubtan onto your palm and massage it into your face in a gentle circular motion.


Allow it to sit on your face for a few minutes without letting it completely dry out.


Rinse your face thoroughly with plain water, avoiding the use of any facial cleansers.


After just one application, you'll notice a remarkable transformation!

Your skin will radiate a glass-like luminosity, thanks to the powerful effects of this Ubtan.


With consistent and frequent use over a few weeks, this miraculous treatment can effectively address various skin concerns such as acne, pimples, dark spots, hyperpigmentation, blemishes, and more.
