DIY Hand and Feet Brightening: Get Visibly Bright Hands and Feet in 7 Days

We take care of our face and hair thoroughly. We try to get the best products, treatments and remedies. While obsessing over our face and hair, we often neglect the two crucial parts of our body - hands and feet.

When we derelict our hands and feet (do not care for them the way they deserve), we see darkness around the knuckles, wrists, ankles, fingers, and other areas.

These little things might affect some people's confidence. Do not worry! There is a way to remedy these issues AT HOME.

Remember, providing internal hydration to your body is essential for your skin's health. Hydration does not mean water alone.

You should eat seasonal fruits and raw vegetables. Provide healthy fluids to your body. Your skin will remain healthy, and any topical application will work better!

Let's move on to the remedy to make your hands and feet bright and tan-free.

Yes, this remedy will help remove the tan from your hands and feet and give you the radiance you desire! For the remedy to show its best results, do it for a week (7 days).

Table of Contents:

Ingredients:

Rice Flour:

  • Rice flour contains fine particles that can help remove dead skin cells and unclog pores, leaving your skin looking brighter and smoother.

  • Rice flour is a mild exfoliant, making it suitable for even sensitive skin types.

  • It is less abrasive than other exfoliating agents, such as sugar or salt.

  • Rice flour contains vitamins and minerals that can help promote a brighter complexion and even skin tone.

Milk:

  • It contains lactic acid, a natural alpha hydroxy acid (AHA).

  • AHAs are known for their ability to gently exfoliate the skin by removing dead skin cells, revealing a brighter complexion without the harsh abrasiveness of some physical exfoliants.

  • Milk is a source of hydration and can help retain moisture in the skin, making it a good choice for those with dry skin.

Honey:

  • Honey can help brighten the complexion and even out skin tone.

  • It is known to have a mild bleaching effect, which can reduce the appearance of dark spots and hyperpigmentation.

  • Honey is a natural humectant, which means it attracts and retains moisture.

  • It makes it an excellent natural moisturizer, helping to keep the skin hydrated.

Lemon:

  • Lemon is rich in vitamin C, which is known for its ability to brighten the skin and even out skin tone.

  • It can help reduce the appearance of dark spots, hyperpigmentation, and blemishes.

  • Lemon juice can topically lighten dark spots and scars over time.

  • It's essential to dilute lemon juice with water or other soothing ingredients, as its acidity can be harsh on the skin when used undiluted.

Curd:

  • Lactic acid can help lighten dark spots, hyperpigmentation, and blemishes, leading to a more even skin tone and a brighter complexion.

  • Curd is an excellent natural moisturizer.

  • It helps to hydrate the skin and lock in moisture, making it particularly useful for dry skin.

Glyreine:

  • Glycerin is a humectant, which means it attracts and retains moisture from the air.

  • It helps to keep the skin hydrated and prevents dryness, flakiness, and roughness.

  • Glycerin can strengthen the skin's natural barrier, which is crucial for protecting the skin from external irritants, pollutants, and allergens.

  • A healthy skin barrier is also crucial in preventing water loss and maintaining proper moisture levels.

Procedure:

STEP 1: Washing

You must be wondering what is so new about washing your hands and feet. It is something you do while bathing daily. Well, this cleansing and washing are centred on your feet and hands.

  • Start cleansing using a light oil like coconut, olive, or face oil (any of your liking!).

  • Oil will remove all the dirt, dead skin cells, and pollutants from your skin. The second step of cleansing will wash away the accumulation.

  • After massaging the oil on your hands and feet, use a mild body wash to eradicate the deposition! If the oil remains, wash again.

After cleansing and washing, you will find your hands and feet cleaner than usual and ready for the next step.

STEP:2 Scrubbing

Ingredients:

  • Rice flour

  • Milk

Preparation:

Follow these simple steps to make the scrub!

STEP 1: Take two tablespoons of rice flour in a bowl.

STEP 2: Add just enough milk to the rice flour to a paste. This paste is your scrub.

Application:

Gently scrub your hands and feet using your DIY scrub. Pay more attention to those areas that have darkness.

Let the scrub stay on your hands and feet for some time. When it dries 80%, wash using plain water.

Do not use more than the required amount of water.

STEP:3 Brightening Mask

Ingredients:

Gather these ingredients to make the brightening mask:

  • Honey

  • Lemon

  • Curd

You can use only honey and lemon to prepare the mask, but those who have serious (skin-darkening) issues should positively add curd.

Substitute: People allergic to honey can add glycerine.

Preparation:

Follow these steps for the preparation of the mask.

STEP 1: Take one tablespoon of honey in a bowl.

STEP 2: Now, squeeze one lemon in the honey and mix.

STEP 3: Add 1-2 tablespoons of curd. Mix all the ingredients, and your brightening mask is ready for application.

Above mentioned quantities are for the mask that will last for one week. If you wish to prepare smaller batches, kindly alter the portion of each ingredient.

Application:

Apply the mask thoroughly on your hands and feet.

Leave it for 10 min. Keep in mind that this mask contains honey and will not dry off. After 10 mins, wash the brightening mask while massaging using only plain water.

After this step, you will see a visible glow and brightness on your hands and feet.

Remember, consistency is key, and doing this process daily for a week will yield mindblowing results.

STEP:4 Moisturizing

Last but not least, you will moisturize your hands and feet.

  • Use your daily moisturizer or the one of your liking and moisturize your hands and feet thoroughly.

  • If doing this process for a week, apply sunscreen! It will help create a barrier for your skin against dirt and pollutants.

After doing this DIY hand and feet brightening, you are ready to flaunt your bright and glowing hands and feet! This process will yield great results; have faith and believe in each step while doing it.

And remember, you are beautiful just the way you are!

If you need to make any aspect of yourself better, then go for it, but do not make the beauty standards of society a parameter to measure your self-esteem. You are beautiful, you are PERFECT!
