These 2 Natural Remedies Can Grow Your Hair | Preity Prerna

Everybody likes to have longer, denser, and healthier hair. But what about the hair fall?

Hair fall is not a problem, and this is a fact that you need to accept first. Just like every living being, our hair also has a lifeline.

It becomes a problem when the hair does not regrow. If your hair does not regrow, the scalp will be exposed eventually, and volume will decrease. In due course, this will lead to baldness.

So now that we have decoded the chief concern - hair regrowth, what can we do about this?

Don't worry (too much stress is also a reason for extreme hair loss!)!

All you need to do is to follow a simple hair-care routine. If you suffer from a tremendous hair fall problem and want to focus on hair regrowth, this routine is definitely for you.

Before getting into the routine, there are two things you should keep in mind -

  • Be patient. Natural remedies take their own sweet time, but they do show results. They might not give you immediate results, but you will see permanent results gradually.

  • Have faith. It is so important to trust these remedies wholeheartedly. It is a two-way road; trust in the process, and it will show you its magic.

Food For Hair Growth:

Before starting the topical application, there is one other aspect you should concentrate on.

The first and foremost thing to take care of is your diet.

If you have any internal deficiencies, then any external application will not work. That is why it is essential to take care of the diet.

You should include foods rich in Proteins, Iron, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and Omega-3 for healthy hair.

Adding these nutrients to your diet will give an internal boost and enable hair growth and regrowth.

Some food items rich in these nutrients are -

  • Fatty fish

  • Spinach

  • Almonds

  • Avacado

  • Nuts

  • Beans, Lentils, and Legumes

  • Seeds (sunflower and chia)

  • Bell Peppers

  • Brown Rice

  • Walnut

So make sure that you take care of yourself internally as well.

It's time to move to the external care of hair so your hair follicles get nourished externally!

Remedy 1:

Before washing your hair, no matter what, you have to apply hair oil. You will prepare the oil on your own using just three ingredients.


1]. Almond Oil:

The first ingredient is almond oil. Have you ever observed the structure of an almond?

You will notice that it resembles the nervous system. Almonds help in nourishing your nervous system. So you can say that almonds belong to God's pharmacy!

Almond oil will soften and strengthen your hair. It supports healthy, strong hair because it includes a significant amount of vitamin B-7 or biotin.

Bottom line - eat almonds, apply almond oil :)

For this remedy, take one spoonful of almond oil.

2]. Castor Oil:

The next ingredient is castor oil.

It boosts blood circulation on the scalp. Its antibacterial and antifungal properties can help reduce dandruff.

Castor oil is thicker and more potent, but you do not have to worry about it. We are using almond oil as a carrier oil. It will reduce the thickness of castor oil.

Add half a tablespoon of castor oil to almond oil and stir it well.

3]. Onion Juice:

Your next ingredient is approximately half a tablespoon of onion juice, and stir.

The sulfur content in onion (responsible for making you cry) is responsible for hair regrowth. Onion oil is an effective remedy for those comfortable with stronger treatments.

For those with a sensitive scalp, do not worry, as almond oil is here to the rescue. Almond oil will work as a carrier here as well.


In a bowl take one tablespoon of almond oil, one tablespoon of castor and half a tablespoon of onion juice and stir it.


After preparing the oil, gently apply it to the scalp. If you feel that your hair follicles are strong, you can massage the oil on your scalp.

But, if you are unsure about the strength of your hair follicles, deposit it on the scalp and do not massage.

You can keep your hair oiled for a minimum of 30 minutes and a maximum of 3-4 hours.

This will act as a protective covering for your hair follicles against a chemical shampoo. Those who are comfortable with oil containing stronger ingredients can leave the oil overnight.

But if you do not follow DIY remedies and have never used the ingredients used in this remedy, then I'd suggest you don't take any risks.

However, you can do a patch test to see how your hair reacts to keeping the oil overnight.

In any case, make sure that you apply this hair oil before every wash.

Remedy 2:

The second remedy of the routine is rice water. Rice water helps the hair to grow, strengthens hair, and gives the hair a shiny look. You can easily prepare rice water AT HOME.


1]. Rice Water:


For every bowl of rice, you need five bowls of water. So you need five bowls of water to boil one bowl of rice. Strain the water after the rice is perfectly boiled.

The strained rice water is what you need to make your hair healthier.

Rinse your hair properly using this water at least once a week, irrespective of your hair porosity.

Wear a shower cap after rinsing and leave it for a minimum of 30 minutes and a maximum of 1.5 hours.

After that, you can wash your hair normally with shampoo. You can apply rice water even after oiling your hair, or skip the oil once a week and apply the rice water.
